when i remove the glass from the lever the water keeps going for a short time. i am also having trouble with the ice maker. the water is supplied by a small pump which pumps water out of a bottle. could low pressure be a problem?

Find the water inlet valve on the back of the fridge. It's where the water supply comes in. Disconnect the line that goes to the water dispenser and observe the water when you try the dispenser. Does the water keep running there for a short time. If so the valve is not working right.
What is the problem with the ice maker. Low water pressure will cause hollow ice and a leaky valve which could also be the problem with the water dispenser.
There is a screen filter where the water goes into the water inlet valve and if it is partially stopped up could cause low pressure.

screen is clean. when i disconnect the line going to the door dispenser the valve seems to shut off properly. it sounds like i am getting air in the system. i think i might have a small leak in my pump that is sucking air. the only thing i can think is that a few air bubbles between the valve and the dispenser is causing a lack of suction and causing the water on the vertical part of the hose right at the lever to leak out?
