Hi All....looking for some wisdom & a solution here. Am puzzled that my (less than 3yrs old oven) will occasionally not heat. Here's what happens: (Default oven temp for 'Bake' is 350'.) Press 'Bake';default temp appears on the display; press 'Start'; oven appears to start heating. No indication anything is amiss until..I notice the gas smell (not strong, as in a leak...just there) and oven temperature never reaches the 350'. No error codes on the display, NOTHING. I can see something lighted at the bottom of the oven (?pilot light), but whatever is lit, is insufficient to heat oven properly. (Max. temp it reaches is... say 225' or 178' or some other inadequate degree.)
Despite the lack of error codes, I've learned that this isn't conducive to baking that time:rolleyes: , so I turn it all off, and re-do everything....still nada! Sometimes if I get disgusted  and leave it for a few hours, or days, it'll start up as it is intended to do. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to when it wants to act up! I've never used the self-clean cycle; the appliance has not been abused; was bought brand new, less than 3 yrs ago, and used ONLY by myself. So....NO reason why it should act up. BTW, the range top (4 burners) still functions properly ( for now??)
HELP?!? PLEASE?????

Hi.
Still missing two more digits in the model number. From what you have described most likely it's a bad ignitor, but I need a complete model number.
Simon.

Simon. Sorry, but that's the whole of any number I've found on the actual range and also on the documentation I received when it was purchased. If it IS a 'bad ignitor' as you wondered, can you give me a ball park amount it's likely to cost me? Not looking for anything exact, just a ball park range will do. Thanks a lot!
