Thanks for the intel.

I've been using the machine because the laundry never stops around here. I've just been shutting off the water at the wall during the last drain cycle. What I noticed today was when I went to the washer during the last drain cycle, the water had stopped running. Is it bound to fail again or mightily be okay for a while?

Most likely yes. But if it's fine now, do not replace the part yet. You can order it and keep it in case if it will start again. You have 365 days to return the part.
