I have a Kenmore Elite front loading washing machine. The rubber seal around the door keeps falling off and the floor floods, it is falling off from the drum side. This has happened 4 times now, I've purchased a new rubber boot, I've purchased a new metal clamp that holds the rubber to the drum, I've visually checked the 4 shocks and 2 springs and they are still attached and tight. I'm not sure what is causing this? I've replaced the rubber door boot before (because of tears), so I'm confident that I'm installing it correctly. Do you have any ideas on how to best trouble shoot? Thanks!

Remove the rear panel and make sure the nut secured the tub pulley is tighten properly and the inner tub is not coming forward.

Thanks for that advice...I pulled the back panel and the pulley and bolt are nice and tight. However, with the back panel off it is very obvious that the drum has way to much play in it. The back bolt has made a nice dent in the back panel and the sides of the drum have scraped up the surrounding drain hose.
I'm still not sure the cause, because the shocks and springs are all attached, but they do have lots of play in them. Perhaps they are shot, can anyone tell me how to diagnose if they are bad? Or do you have any other ideas as to the cause of too much play in the drum?
Thanks!

I'm afraid the rear bearing has gone bad. It comes as a part of the rear outer tub. Also possible that the basket spider is damaged too. It will cost you over $800 if you will do it yourself. I don't know if it's worth it. - The outer drum Part number: W10253866
