I thought I posted another question 09/05/2012 but haven't received an answer so I will try again, maybe I did not. We replaced a control panel in the Whirlpool double built-in oven we ordered from you, but the key pad doesn't respond properly. Do we need to replace the keypad? We get the error codeE1F2. Part number replaced was AP4909214.

Hi Barb,

Let me make clear the part names first to avoid any possible misunderstanding. The part I recommended to replace in your very first thread, which you already replaced, is the control board, which is located behind the control panel, inside the control compartment. The control panel is the face panel with the key pads.

The error code "E1F2" means that the control board does not sense the control panel ribbon cable. Such problem can be caused by a loose connection between the ribbon cable and the control board, by a damaged ribbon cable or by a bad control panel. If anything is wrong with the ribbon cable , the whole control panel has to be replaced.

Only the black control panel is still available for this oven.

- The control panel Part number: W10161676
Part number: W10161676
