Hello can some one help me. I have a Maytag dryer Model Number #MDGT336AWW. A few weeks ago i noticed that my dryer wasnt shutting off. The dryer would heat but the timer would not advance. i figured not a problem so i just ordered a new timer. The new timer would only advance a little bit but would not shut off. So i called and spoke with a rep and they said it was a faulty timer so they sent me another one out, still didnt work. so i have two brand new timers and my dryer still does not work. Could it have something to do with a heating coil or something like that.

The most common cause of such problem is a restricted dryer vent line. It must be cleaned all the way to the vent hood. Also disassemble the dryer and check the blower wheel.
