washer makes noise similar to broken motor coupler and wont agitate but fills, drains and spins just fine.

Checked dogs, agitator and motor coupler and all appear to be intact

Since its spins this suggest the coupling is ok and that nothing is hung up in the pump so I think your transmission is the issue. If so, it will need to be replaced.
