Hi My kitchen aid gas oven Model KGST307 9754288, started to take a long time to heat up on the order of 30-40 minutes, I figured it was the ignitors so I replaced both the oven and broiler ignitors. This did not correct the problem. What I wanted assistance was a trouble shooting guide to check the voltage to see if control panel is faulty. I wanted to also check voltage where ignitors plus in gas switch. If you can help it would be much appreciated thanks Steve

Hi.

You need to monitor the burners while in preheat. Are they fully ignited?
Check the displayed temperature and real one in the oven (use the dependable thermometer).
Using the multimeter check the temp. sensor resistance.
At the room temp. approx.1100 ohms.

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Simon Hi thanks for getting back to me, the ignitors do not glow and are at room temp, I am thinking that the control circuit is not sending signal to them, I did replace both ignitors and verified continuity prior to installation Thanks Steve

Hi.

I need the complete model number. You are missing 4 digits.

Then I'll be able to get you the right part and test points.

Simon.

simon Hi I removed the control panel and when looking at the back I see the microcomputer AP3137864 depicted by item number 2 on your diagram but I did not see the microcomputer AP3085940 depicked by item number 10 on your diagram? Note I did not remove the microcomputer AP3237864 from the control panel yet was waiting till I hear from you on voltages(is it behind it)? Thanks Steve

OK.

You need a multimeter. Turn the power off.
Open the control panel. Get to the power relay board and locate the contacts P2,P8,P1-1.
Turn the oven to Bake and check the voltage P1-1 and P1-6.
You should have 120VAC.If not - check the bi-metal thermostat with black wires.
Next check for 120VAC between P2 and P1-1.
Set the oven for Broil and check P8 to P1-1.
If no voltage - replace the relay board
