Hello,

I have the Amana dryer model listed above, and today it stopped producing hot air even though it continues to run just fine otherwise.

I checked the normal things, like the lint hose, etc... and all looks clear and good.

The general consensus online was to check the thermostat(s) and replace them if necessary. I found a tech sheet and looked up the diagnostic codes on the control panel but nothing about the thermostats came up just one instance of 10 - No Wet Clothes. I cleared that code and started the dryer again and no more codes are coming up now.

I've got a few questions:

1) I took off the top, the control panel, and the front panel and still didn't have access to the thermostats. They're buried back under the dryer bin. I was able to unscrew the unit and sort of pull it out, but it wasn't easy and clearly not intended. How am I supposed to get to those?

2) I'll be honest, I don't really know how to use my digital multimeter to test the thermostats. I don't have a "continuity" setting on the dial, just a bunch of different Ohms levels (200,2000,200k,2000k) and a tone setting. I did hear a tone when I touched the leads to the wires.
