Please take a few seconds and answer if you can!

I think the problem is the lid switch because it previously would run with lid open, then would not run with lid down, now is working fine again.
I have ordered and received a new lid switch but not put it on yet.

My question: Simply, how do i get to the switch?
I asked this a week or so ago, 20 people read it, and noone bothered to take a second and answer. I just want to know the way the top of the machine lifts up. Please help!
thanks

Look at the rear of the control panel on the ends and find the screws that hold the panel to the washer top. Back out the screws until you can slide the panel forward about and inch and flip it over toward the back of the unit. Under the panel, remove the plug to the lid switch and release the gold colored brackets on each end. This will allow the top of the unit to tip forward off the frame (pay attention to how it came off). After you change the switch, make sure you get the top back on just as you took it off. There are tabs on the frame in the rear that must fit into the slots of the washer housing. Reinstall the brackets (if they don't go on easily, the cabinet isn't on correctly) and the lid switch connector, then reinstall the control panel. Hope this helps.
