I'm trying to figure out how to remove the agitator from my Kenmore 11022952100 top loader. Can anyone help please?

I was able to pop off the top fabric softener piece. I was then expecting to see a nut to loosen, but all I see down there is the top-side of what appears to be a threaded rod or something. How do I proceed?

Looks like, from a video I just watched, that I need to use a 1/2" socket driver as the tool to remove this.

Thanks. Not sure what makes you think I'm trying to replace the agitator dogs, but thanks anyway. In addition, that video does not apply to my model of machine. As I previously mentioned, it turns out I need to use a 1/2" socket extension to remove the agitator, not a 7/16 inch socket as shown in this video.

Sorry but I did not see your last couple posts as the site had not updated on my computer and your posts were close in time to my reply.
I did not think you needed to replace the dogs but it's video had how to remove the agitator.
Good luck with your repair. |

Good luck with your repair. Thanks, but like I said. My agitator removes differently than what's in the video.
