The baking element burned out so we ordered a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. The element arrived in two days as promised! However, after installing the new baking element, the broil element will not heat. The stove top elements burn as usual.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem??????

Thanks :) :)

Hi,

Did the broil element heat before you installed the new bake element?
Does the new bake element work?

I would take my multimeter and check for voltage at the element first.

Here are the parts for your Model KERC507YWH2

Thanks Appliance Junk for your reply.

The broil element did heat before the baking element went out. Now, neither will heat.

Could there be a fuse or breaker in the control panel that controls both the top and bottom elements that could have shorted out when the baking element went out? The baking element actually flamed briefly at the time it burned out.

Thanks and I look forward to your reply.
