I have been told to replace computer board talking to an old repair tech , but what part??

Problem and how it occurred. wife starts telling me she hates washing machine as it is stopping mid cycle.. meanwhile when i do laundry this doesn't happen, famous last words.. so my turn now to do laundry stops in middle of cycle 30min or 20 min , often canceling cycle and restarting it would work. then other day mid cycle stops says A17 on screen .. i go online cant find much on A17 , online help says unplug for 10min , i do, the cycle now finishes. I want to run a load through just water select normal and hit start .. runs for 30secs stops .. have to cancel to get out eventually wont do anything.. so i unplug for 10min , 20 goes by i forgot about it. I go back to washer.. plug back in works like magic , i can start and runs through.. least i think it did as i went away came back it was off didnt think much off it , next day i better do some more laundry.. now wont turn on, the door lock light come on when door open other than that no other buttons are responsive. unplugged for 20 min , no go , unpluggged for day , now plugged back in door lock light only thing that works.. no beeps or anything.. help.. I am shocked that no one on this site (or any other for that matter) knows what this means. For whatever reason, it is not listed in the manual's error codes. I have this washer and had to troubleshoot this myself after finding no answer on the Internet. It notes a clogged drain line. If you remove the front panel under the loading door, you will see a white PVC cylinder with a hand-screw on the front. Turn this counterclockwise (you may need pliers) and a filter will slide out. Remove debris and reinstall.

...And thanks again in 2023! I also found the technician troubleshooting info inside that lower compartment stuck to the side wall. It listed a bunch of "E" codes only, but no "A" codes. I wonder what codes A1 through A15 are ;-)
