Our clumsy 21 year old son managed to poke a hole about 4 inches in diameter in the door to the microwave. Jenn aire has a bad habit of not producing replacement parts for very long so my question is as follows. 1-Does nayone know where I can find a replacement door. 2-How difficult /easy is it to replace.
Thank you in advance!

If the manufacturer has discontinued this part then there is a very small (close to zero) chance to find it somewhere.

Gene. Gene; Much to my surprise AppliancePartsPros has the door and it's on its way to me. The question is how do I get to the door bracket to remove the existing door...the microwave sits in a box that is attached to the stove below...will I have to remove the entire oven/microwave to get to the bracket (please say there's an easier way...the unit is mighty heavy and I'm getting old and decrepid) and then unscrew microwave from the aluminum box it sits in.

Can you post the part number of the door you ordered?

I'm confused.
The part number you posted is for the door frame and window assembly for the over the range microwave. The model number you posted earlier leads to the build in oven/microwave combo. I don't think those parts are interchangeable.

Gene. So sorry for the confusion...when I contacted Jenn Air they gave me the 56001249 number for the microwave in JMW8530AAB...I actually asked them to double check this and they claim it fits...I'll trust your judgement and this just adds to my frustration of dealing with Jenn Air. Thank you again...I'll recontact you via this blog if by some small chance they happen to be right and it does fit. I truly feel the American appliance suppliers will go the way of the old American auto industry...you can't provide poor products or services and expect customers to come back.

Gene. Gene; Just spoke to Jenn Air again and they seem absolutely positive this door will fit our microwave. AppliancePartsPro just confirmed shipment so any help on door installation would be appreciated...it seems that getting to the hinges to replace door will require some disassembly...thank you again...thank goodness someone like you is out there to help us poor aplliance owbers. Hi Jeff,
You may want to have the new part in your hands first.
