My tenant tried to replace the bulb at bottom of unit and broke the glass and then tried to get the threaded end out and looks like he shorted the receptacle out...

If he did not unplug the microwave prior to replace this light bulb, the short in the socket damaged the microwave control board. If you need the correct part number, post the end of the model number.
