I got an F11 error code on the washer and tried some of the things discussed on the Applianceblog.com site for simiilar duet washers and found a link to this site from there. Not sure what to do specific to this model. Ran the diagnostic. Got C00 and C01 and then got the F11 error code again. I am a toolmaker by trade for 30 years and have good mechanical apptitude. I think I can fix it myself if I have some guidance.
can you please help me?

Test the wiring from the motor control unit for continuity and good connections. If it is ok, check out the door switch in the same manner.

If that checks out try replacing the motor control unit.

With this model the diagnostics are so poor and the machine so complicated, replacing parts until it works is about the only way to do a diagnosis. That is what a tech would do if he or she visited you on a service call.

I just repaired my Duet washer. Code F11. Read the posts on this forum. Ran diagnostics. Pulled both CCU and MCU Boards out of their housings. Inspection behind the MCU circuit board showed a burned spot on the housing in the center of the board length on the plug side about an inch from the edge. This is the area of the board with a glob of white rubbery substance on it. Replaced the MCU board. washer works again. This machine is 7 years old and this is the first issue I've had with it.

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
If you try to run the washer with the mcu unpluged, you would probably not get the F11 error code which shows the error code was sent to the ccu by the failed mcu. The motors are pretty robust on these. I have seen them draw well over 6 amps rms driving a spin basket with bad bearings with no error code or thermal shutdown.

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

If you are interested in having me repair your CCU for you, I offer that service on "e bay" (website coming soon). My username there is "jhagner"

Thanks
