First off thanks in advance for any and all help.
The range is about 12 years old and has an intermittent problem of not always lighting off. And then sometimes it heats right up. The problem of not lighting off is compounded as the gas seems to keep on flowing, maybe it doesn't it just smells excessive. My guess it is just an ignitor problem and is probably easily replaced. Thoughts?
thanks

The problem doesn't seem to be with the ignitor as the igniter lights up like a light. And to be honest when we have the light off problem there always seems to be a glow from where the igniter is housed. Maybe it is has something to do with the metering of gas?
Thoughts?
