Hello, My Ge dishwasher is leaving gritty stuff on the glasses after wash is complete. I replaced the motor and pump assy about a year ago. I have checked the intake screen and it is clean. The only thing different is the drain hose is connected directley to the garbage disposal, instead of going to an air gap. We recentley had counter tops replaced and decided not to use the airgap. I have checked the drain hose for kinks and blockage with no luck. Water from the drain cycle is forcefully exiting into the disposal. We had no problems before the new countertop what could be wrong?

It sounds like you have found your problem. The drain may be siphoning back out out the garbage disposal Is the drain hose raised higher than the garbage disposal fitting? It should be, attach it with a strap to the underside of the cabinet top/frame. |

Yes, the drain hose has a high loop to the underside of countertop. Does anyone know how much water should be in the bottom of the tub after fill? I took the fill valve apart the screen was very clean.

OK, I found the repair paperwork under kickplate it says the water level should be 3/8" to 1" above the spray tower base. I measured mine at 1/2" so I am ok on water level. What else can my problem be?
