Just replaced the Magnetron that was sent per the GE folks, still doesn't heat. All the fuses check good. I tried to check the high voltage diode and capacitor. The diode read 168 ohms both ways...even when it was taken out of the circuit.

I also checked the "old"magnetron per a check list on a microwave forum and it checked good actually.

Is it possible that the diode is the whole reason it won't work? It does look like it has a crack in the sides of the diode..Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

ya the diode may have been ur problem from the start but its definitely is now when u replace it make sure to get it back on the same cap lead reading continuity both ways means its bad peace man oh ya discharge the cap b4 u put it on just to be safe

i swapped out the High voltage diode..fired up the oven....and it immediately blew the diode! Popped! Any suggestions...??/
