Hi All, My inlaws have one of these, and I guess it quit working.
Lights and Digital display all work.
There is a little bit of clicking that happens when you initiate the cook cycle, but it stops after a second and then nothing heats, and the tray does not move.
There isn't any bad sort of smell coming from it.
Also any special tools? (like safety torx etc?) - so besides knowing what to order I'll need to know how to yank it and pull it apart :)
Thanks Dave

Hi Gene,
Okay, I can do that, but need to know:
1) will I need a safety Torx (and what size) to open it, or something other than a philips or socket? ( they are an hour away, and don't see well enough to let me know :) )
2) how to 'test' a switch - there appear to be 3 or 4 in there. I'd assume the two bladed switches are Moment Off and conduct when no depressed, but the ones with 3 blades - I don't know how to approach those. Also, the Light inside the microwave works correctly, so if that eliminates anything I'm all for listening to your advice!
Thanks again! - in the past you have saved me MAJOR money on repairs, and frankly a lot of headaches too - easier to do it myself than call someone sometimes.
Yours, Dave

Dave,
I know something but not everything. :)
I have no idea what kind of screws are there.
There are 3 switches. 2 interlock and 1 monitor. Interlock switches are Normally Open and monitor switch is Normally Closed. Very likely the two bladed switches are interlock and three bladed switch is monitor.
Very likely you will see a bad switch without any tests right after you will get there.
Gene.

Thank Gene - I'll try to get a look at it tonight and figure out what is up with it.
Yours, Dave
