I am having trouble getting my washer to drain. Normally, the water rises 4 ft through the hose to the drain, but now I have to remove the hose from the drain and lower it (not necessarily below the water line) to get it to drain the washer. I have checked all appropriate hoses and there are no obstructions. Also, the pump does run and the impeller is moving (checked visually). Any ideas on what to do to fix it? Or is this a lost cause?

If you are SURE that there are NO restrictions, The ONLY 2 things it can be are 1. a bad pump or 2. a kinked drain hose.:D

Yep, I'm sure... I stuck a pole through the hose just to be sure and nothing came out. Is it possilbe the pump just isn't strong enough anymore?

For anyone that's curious or has a similar problem, one of the wires leading to the pump was bad, and must not have been supplying enough juice to drive the pump fast enough.
