My dryer motor tries to turn over but wouldn't. the drum spinsfreely one way, additionally I have pulled off the rear panel and shute for the lint catcher so i can see the blower wheel. i an having difficulty getting the cabinet apart, do i have to take the front of the dryer out do to pull the motor out clean and lube everything around it?? Dryer is a whirlpool lde5700w0.

i just got it down to the motor. the motor does the same thing as it did before without a load in it. I vacuumed out all the lint and crap and sprayed it down with silicon spray. It started once under its own power after the spary. it would not start again... does that mean the motor is spent??
