I was defrosting and a small fire got started by a twist tie. I put it out immediately but now it won't start up. There wasn't any noticeable damage inside. What could be wrong?

Hi Dwnbrwn6. We will need your exact model # to assist with parts. Some microwave's have a moisture moniter sensor which will open under these conditions. Thank You.
