I have lost my manual. I need to know how to covert my range to propane. Kitchen-aid or Sears told me how to do it but I forgot and there service to answer questions. I need to do it before the propane company comes on Monday.

And a Technical Note for accessing the top burner orifices. You'll need to turn off power and gas to the unit and remove from cabinet. Pressure Regulator Conversion
Installed in the unit is one of two types of regulators.
Converting Regulator Type 1
Push down and turn counterclockwise to remove cap. Turn cap over and reinstallConverting Regulator Type 2
Remove cap and force plastic plunger from bottom of
cap. Turn plunger over and force back to original
location. NOTE:
Plunger must snap into position, and the type of
gas being supplied (NAT or LP) must be visible
on lower side of plunger
Converting Regulator Type 3
1. Pop–off plastic dust cover from cap nut (top of
regulator). Remove cap nut (plastic dust cover is
attached to cap nut). Remove plastic dust cover from
cap nut and reinstall on opposite side of cap nut.
2. Reinstall cap nut into regulator. The marking for the
type of gas being supplied (LP or N) must be visible
in top of cap nut. Pop–on plastic dust cover
Gas Conversion
Orifice Conversion: Natural Gas to LP Gas
1. Screw the burner orifice hoods down tight against the
pins.
Do not over tighten.
2. Screw the burner orifice hood down tight against the
valve body. It is important to turn down the hood as
far as possible to ensure complete conversion.
NOTE:
On units using Eaton Oven Safety Valve, screw
the valve orifice hood down tight against the
valve body. It is important to turn down the hood
as far as possible to ensure complete
conversion.
3. Adjust burner air shutter to the widest opening that
will not cause the flame to lift or blow off the burner
when cold.
Access to Cooktop Burner Orifices
1)Remove the burner grates and caps
2)Remove the burner base nut(24mm)securing the burner
3)Remove the burner
4)Remove the two screws,one on each side of the unit,securing the main top
5)Remove the four 1/4" hex/phillips screw,two on each side,securing the side trim to the body
6)Remove the two screws,one on each side,securing the main top,
when the side trim is removed,two screws will be visible, Remove the furthest most screws from the control panel
7)Remove the main top and set aside. the ignitor wires will need to be
marked and disconnected, if the top is to be removed and set away from
the range
8)Access to the orifice hoods are now available
Turn ofifice hoods down(clockwise) two to two and a half turns
9) reverse procedure to reinstall

Well it went like this. The building inspector didn't leave me a blue tag saying I passed. I can't get in touch with him because government offices are closed today. So the gas company canceled until next week. More peanut butter and jelly.
So updates will begiven after next Tuesday. Unless some one cancels. LOL

Bumping an old thread. Wanted to say thanks for this. I am trying to go from LP to NG on a Jenn Air JGS8850ADW so I try out these footnotes on accessing the burner orifices. Thank you. I will let you know how it works.
BTW thanks to appliancepartspro for the quick shipment of the new ECU controller (have to send it back - needed control panel instead) and the new control panel as that was what was wrong. Should have read the F1-8 codes clearer here to see that it was teh control panel not the ECU controller.

Ok I took the top off, and got the orifices unscrewed from tight by 2.5 revolutions. Then read teh manual and said 2 revolutions. Will it hurt anything?
Also what do I have to do in the oven?
I took a couple pictures. I will post them up tonight.

Mike, You're doing fine, 2 to 2 1/2 revolutions won't make a major difference, you 'll be fine, especially when you fine tune the fuel air mixture, if needed. The bake and broil orifices are converted in the same manner, use a 1/2 in. open end wrench and adjust the orifice the same, as the top burner orifice. :) :) :)
