Hello, I have a GE Profile Model PSS27SGNABS. I recently noticed that the freezer temp isn't staying at 0 and moves up and down several degrees. Along with this, the Express Thaw seems to always be on (even if I turn it off, it comes back on) AND a loud clicking noise is coming from the freeze right below the ice maker and above the light in the freezer. If I open either door the clicking noise goes away. When I've looked in the freezer I can see what looks like a fan of some sort behind a cover rotating that the sound is coming from. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this and if I can do it myself. I'm pretty good at fixing just about anything but I've never worked on a fridge:). Appreciate any help. Thank you!

I would remove the freezer back panel and check the fan, there might be a partial ice jam. If so, check the door gaskets, weak door gaskets will allow ice to build up in the freezer. If a dollar bill when inserted between the gasket and the fridg door trim pull out easily, you have bad door gaskets.

I should have mentioned that the fan clicking isn't all the time but rather sporatic. It does happen every day, just not all the time. I will do as you recommend and see what I find this evening. Thank you so much for the quick responce and potential solution.
