Hi,
Trying to confirm what would be causing this issue. The largest burner element will work fine to start, but will all of the sudden start getting extremely hot to the point where I need to shut off the burner for a minute to "reset" it even when the temperature is set to medium or low, then I can turn it back on but it continues to happen. We don't use that burner at the moment because of this.

Has anyone had experience with this? Would it be a problem with the infinite switch (as they call it)?

Thanks in advance!

Yes that would be what I would replace.

Your model number does not come up, please check it.
The parts people at AppliancePartsPros may have info on it even if it does not show up on their web site.
