The refrigerator is rather old (about 12+)but has been doing fine, in a 2 person household. In the last few days it will not shut off or maintain temp below 45.:confused:

Make sure the evaporator is frost free and the condensing fan in the back is running. If ok, and the compressor is running and heating the condensing coils, then you have a bad compressor or refrigerant leak.
