:confused: Can anyone give me some advice on what to do to fix a blown hood fan motor - had it turned on with the light over the stove while cooking breakfast, heard a 'pop' and then electric smoke. The light on the range stayed on + works fine. The serial number is LEV62061, 3 wire 60 watt AC.
The model is really old, but I figure there must be a compatable update that can be installed. Do I need to do anything with the fuse box and what kind of person do I call to have the new part installed if I do find a new part that will work with the old fan/range hood?
Any takers on this one?

Due to the age of your range hood, I would recommend replacement. Parts for yours will probably be hard to find. I tried looking up the model number and found nothing.
But if you want to try to fix it pull the fan motor out, or can have an appliance tech work on it.
