Turntable turns in fits and starts--does not seem to make a difference if the load is places on the outer parimater or in the center. The unit is slightly out of level--about 1/16 " front to back--Would this effect the operation?
The unit replaces a GE mounted identically as this one which operated without complaint for about 25 years.. any advice would really be appreciated--Thanks--Mel

I have this same problem with my Kenmore 721.80803401. The experts report that the problem is the rotating central arm that drives the tray assembly. The Sears expert recommends replacing the ring assembly and tray assembly which is sold as a kit #383EW1A132A. A detailed picture of the arm shows that a wheel has been added which will probably stop the arm from disengaging from the slot in the glass tray. Since the part costs approximately $50 plus shipping, I am waiting for more feedback before making the purchase.
