Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/15/2011(UTC) Posts: 1		maytag washer makes a high pitch squeling noise when in washing mode and during first part of spin out washes and spins out fine i have replaced the bearing at the bottom of big pulley and both belts sounds like its coming from the pump but its plastic and i wouldnt think it would make that kind of noise any help would be appricated

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Yes, given that it happens in agitation and spin the pump is a very likely source of the problem. It can make that noise even though a lot of it is plastic. There may even be something caught in it.
