My thermador oven begins beeping after we bake something and turn it off. It generally beeps for hours and doesn't stop until it cools down. By the next day it is OK and then the problem occurs again.
We've had several repair people out and they can't find anything wrong because there is no beeping when they are here. Also no error message is present.
Whe the beeping occurs and we try to restart the oven, it will spontaneously shut dowm after it starts beeping.

The repair person said we would have to replace the entire control pannel yet doesn't know what the problem is.

Is there anyone out there who has experienced the same problem?

Hello,
Please see my answer in the following thread:
http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/197574-thermador-f25-error.html

Being that the beeping only occurs when the unit is hot and the fans are off, I'd say that the heat is escaping out of the upper oven and effecting the harness from the touchpad to the clock. Becasue the upper oven of your unit is a microwave, you can't swap doors as described in the other post.

Also, I'm assuming your oven is a CM302U.

I’m experiencing the same problem for several months.
I’ve even setup a video camera to record an episode and will shut our oven off at the circuit breaker until the oven is completely cooled.

I’ve had our “main computer board” replaced, but that didn’t solve the problem.

My repair man said he spoke with a Thermador Representative who said sometimes the ‘wire harnesses will become loose overtime due to the heating and cooling of the oven. We’ve tightened up as many of the wires as possible, still no luck.

On Tuesday, April 12 the repairman is coming back to replace the ‘yellow’ and ‘orange’ set of wires (harness) and we’ll see what happens next.

I've created a post (4/11-Thermador Double Oven Beeping) before I read yours.
I've stopped using my top oven and only used the bottom oven and continue to have the same problem.

I have the same issue. Our oven will beep incessantly after use. Most of the time, no error code. Sometimes error F24. Sometimes the Upper Off button will respond and stop the beeping for a few minutes, sometimes no buttons respond. Sometimes opening and shutting the oven door fixes the beeping, but only temporarily. If you try to restart the oven during its beeping phase, it will spontaneously shut down.

We replaced the glass control panel - no help.

Have you been able to resolve? What was the fix?

After having the wires replaced and the touch pad, i still have the problem and it doesn't matter if it is the top or bottom oven.

Because it's summer time, I'm not using the oven that much.
I have noticed that after using the oven, I turn it off and leave the door open to cool down. After an hour or so I can shut the door and it won't beep. If I close it too soon, it'll start to beep.

I'll contact my repairman to share this information with him and will try to post his comments or any repairs.

Thank you

My repair man came out, adjusted the top panel that covers the majority of the electrical components hoping to create a ‘vent’ for the hot air to pass through, no luck as I still get the beeping.

WOW! I can’t believe this much work has gone into fixing the problem and Thermadore hasn’t come up with a solution, clearly I’m not the only one experiencing this.

My repair man is calling Thermadore again, outlining all of our changes (and money paid) to hopefully find someone with a viable solution.

Hope to be in touch with a solution soon.

Our Thermador double oven is about 7 years old and now beeps every time we use the oven and then turn it off. It started off with a couple of beeps and now will beep for many minutes. I have ready that many of us are having this problem. Anyone come up with a fix? It is very annoying!

Though I have confidence in my repairman, I’m questioning the communication between him and Thermadore.
Every time my repairman called Thermadore, he got a different answer. Sometimes he’d listen to their solution only to tell them he’d already tried it.

Here is the order of events and notes:
1/11/11-checked doors, controls, wiring connections and suggested I clean the oven-still beeped
2/16/11-replaced Mother Board (466911, $225.00)-still beeped
4/12/11-replaced “Ribbons” (wiring harnesses: Yellow-18994 and Orange-189947, $125.00))-still beeped
6/9/11-replaced Touch Pad (142859, $320.00)-still beeped
8/14/11-adjusted the top of the oven creating an opening to help vent out hot air-still beeped though not as bad
12/23/11-replaced Display Top (48915, $275.00)-since then the beeping has stopped

Why did it take so long to figure it out? Some of it was my scheduling and some of it was Thermadores shipping schedule. We also got into the habit of turning off the circuit breaker (even before it started to beep.)

Though I’m not happy it took so long, that Thermadore didn’t seem to have an easy solution, and it cost a lot of money, I basically have a completely rebuilt oven that does cook very well.

I hope this helps someone and that replacing the Display Top has fixed the beeping problem.

we had this same problem for months. We had the control panel replaced three times. I finally FIGURED IT OUT! When we turned off the oven after use, the fan went off but the heat of the oven heated the control panel so much that it must have expanded and caused a fault or short. This is a design flaw in the oven. The EASY WORKAROUND is to run the oven at 100 degrees for an hour after use to allow the fan to cool it sufficiently. Not perfect, but it works!
