The washer will not enter rinse or spin cycle. It will fill, agitate and drain. The knob does rotate to the rinse position but never sprays water into the drum. I cheated the lid switch with a screwdriver to confirm this. I don't have a manual or diagram. Can anyone help.

Your lid switch is probably dysfunctional. You will have to open it up to check things out with a meter.
