I'm working on a jenn air electric range. Not real fimiliar with the fault codes on this unit. The problem is the control is flashing frequently and the convection fan/bake cycle will try to start up at random. After it does this a couple of times it will flash the f 1 8 code. Could this be the oven sensor or possibly the touchpad/membrane.

The "F1-8" error code means "Shorted key in membrane switch". The correction is to replace the control panel. If you need the correct part number then post the color of it. Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model JES9860AABGene.

Mitch, The part number for the black control panel is AP377520 Gene.
