My washer drains but won't spin. It makes a humming sound. I would like to fix it myself because it's kind of old but still has gone through some DIY repairs. Any help would be appreciated as reading through each post is time consuming.

Hi KAP Most likely the problem with your washer is a worn out motor drive coupling. Replace it to solve the problem. - The part number for the motor drive coupling AP3963893 - Here are the complete instructions how to replace the motor drive coupling. Good luck. Gene.

Gene - Thank you for the assistance with my first washer. Now I am attempting to repair my front load washer but I am clueless on how to open a front load washer. I am thinking it's the motor coupling too. But I need to open it up and then find the part that needs repairing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
