When I turn on the oven I can smell gas, and it takes quite a while for it to reach temperature. I was told by a friend that I probably needed a thermocoupler, but when I went to live chat here on the site I was told it couldn't be found for this particular model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Michele

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 10/25/2007(UTC) Posts: 68		many newer (less than 5 years) gas ovens will read resistance from the glow bar (ignitor) as a type of thermocouple. visualy check the glow bar for discolorations, specificly an ashy spot. if this is the case it is likely your problem. also check you modle # (likely on either the left or right side front when you open the lower drawer

Replacing it should solve the problem. The bake igniter - The part number for the new igniter AP2020569 Good luck. Gene.
