My Whirlpool electric dryer heats on high heat setting but not on medium. We cleaned the vents out, which were not clogged but still not working. What else can we check?

A model number would help. Different units control the heat differently so a wiring diagram is required. |

ok, I will get it tonight and post it tomorrow. someone told me it is probably the timer and if that is the case they are about $200 and would be better off to just buy a new dryer. do not really want to do that.
