I have a side by side Whirlpool and the freezer side isn't getting cold enough to keep things frozen. I turned the dial up for the temp on the freezer a notch and that really didnt seem to help. I took the back cover off and the condensor is really hot. As well as the copper coming out of the condensor. It wasnt overly dirty back there. I did buy this fridge used from a guy who replaced the origanal condensor. Do I need more frion? Is the condensor supposed to get really hot to the touch? Any help would be appreciated. I bought this fridge a year ago and would like to at least get a couple more out of it.

A model number may be helpful.
Also do you mean condenser (the coils under the unit) or compressor?
If the unit has a condenser/compressor fan, is it running? |

Upon further review there was a black plastic cap for something stuck in the fan blades. I removed it and the fan started running. Hopefully this will solve the problem cause the compressor (not condensor) was sizzling hot to the touch. Thank you so much for your suggestion. Without it i wouldnt have looked. I will post and update condition to see if that fixed it. Thank you so much for your help. People like you make the worlds a better place.
