Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL EGD4100SQ0 29" GAS DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the wiring diagram.

Looking at the wiring diagram, you will see a centrifugal switch on the motor (5M/6M). This switch closes when the unit gets close to operating speed and completes a parallel circuit to the motor so you can release the push to start switch and the unit keeps running.

Perhaps the motor is clogged solid with lint so this switch is not closing, check/clean the motor.

Or perhaps the switch is toast or the centrifugal mechanism is broken, in both cases you will need a new motor.

Or may be a bad/loose connection or a bad wire.
