Hi: I am having an ongoing problem with an "ld" code. The unit stopped in mid cycle. After researching the code I checked the resistance of both pumps, checked the wiring connections and even took the tub out to check for debris. All appears OK except the drain pump is humming loudly and when I removed it and the resistance was way off the specs. This unit is as much fun to troubleshoot as a new car. Do these pumps go bad that often, the unit is only 18 months old. Can this problem be as simple as a new pump or should I go crazy running more tests. I did the piece by piece test and when I tried the drain pump it hummed loudly again.

Yes, this machine is plagued by problems, including the pumps. Replacing it sounds like what is required.
