I set the timer for 45 minutes, the dryer heats up, runs for approx 2-5 minutes then shuts off,..timer is still working,... door is still closed. Any suggestions what the problem might be??

Here is your parts breakdown Model LER4634EQ1Here is a tech sheet https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%203406688.pdfCould be a couple things Perhaps the door switch is just closing so the vibration or clothes hitting it is opening it turning off the dryer. By the look of it you may be able to bend the switch actuator so it closes the switch more positively. Could also just be the switch itself is going intermittent. Perhaps your motor is overheating and the thermal cutoff is tripping. Can you restart the dryer right away? Usually it takes a couple minutes for and overheated motor cutoff to reset. So if it restart right away it is unlikely to be the motor. |
