Hi There,

This gas dryer works fine except for one thing:

The Auto Dry cycles don't work properly.

The timed cycles work fine and the dryer turns off when it is supposed to.

However, when you set the dial on one of the auto cycles, the dryer runs and drys clothes, but the dial does not turn and the dryer does not shut off unless you open the door.

I'm guessing maybe a sensor of sorts.

Please help.

The first thing I would check if the exhaust line (inside and outside the dryer) is completely open. If there is nothing wrong then replace the cycling thermostat (#8 on the break down diagram).

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP277115
