I let this refrigerator sit for a couple months while my daughter build her house, so any water in the tubing or reservior just sat there. Now even with flushing and trowing away ice there is a very bad taste in the water and ice. Is there a way to flush bleach trought the tubes and reservior?? or am I looking at replacing the tubes and reservior?

Have been flushing, and trowing away ice, there is no filter either exterior or built into this refrigerator. Was thinking about removing the water feed connection from the wall, draining the tube, filling the tube with bleach, reconnecting to water pressure and flushing the icemaker loop untill all the bleach was gone, first question would be the freezing point of bleach, and reaction with any metal parts inside the loop. I could rise the icemaker bail to keep the bleach out of the ice tray. Ideas????

Bleach won't freeze in the unit, I can't think of any metal that would be affected, I just don't think you can get enough into if to be affective. Try to keep it outta the Icemaker!!!!!!:)
