There was water leaking from my ice maker,now it won't fill with water. I checked fro continuity at test points V and L and there was none. I changed the module and rechecked continuity and still nothing. The ice maker has been out of the freezer for a day. I have 72 ohms at the heater element, I have no continuity at the thermostat. I have 120v between points L and N. I tryed to jump points T and H to turn The motor and nothing happened. Do I need to let the ice maker cycle for 24 hours and the thermostat close before i retest or is the something else going on.

Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the green and red solenoids. You probably have to use some extension wires because of different terminals size. Depress the water release lever on the water dispenser for a few seconds and check if there is water in the ice maker. I check that and there is no water, The ice maker also will not cycle when I jumper out test points T and H I have continuity there and i do have power everywhere else.

Looks like the water valve has to be replaced. Make sure the ice maker harness is connected properly and the "on-off" switch on the right side is on. Try to short the test points "T" & "H" one more time. Make sure the wire goes into the test points at least 1/2". If the ice maker would not start, the motor is bad. In such situation I would recommend to replace the whole ice maker. It makes repair more reliable. - The ice maker Part number: AP3182733
