The light comes on and the fan runs, but will not even heat water. This problem came on suddenly. I have the manual and elec. diagrams. It looks like the magnetron could be bad. Is there a way to check it? Could it be anything else? Thank You, Jerry

Jerry, Check (if you are sure you know how to do it) if there is 120 VAC to the High voltage transformer primary winding. If the reading is correct, then the problem most likely is a bad magnetron. If the reading is incorrect, then the problem most likely is a bad control board. Unfortunately this part is no longer available. - The magnetron Part number: AP2632740

Gene, Upon checking input power to the transformer I found that the neutral was missing so I studied the diagram and found that (in this model) the lower door switch can cause this. If the lower door switch does not make contact, the fan and light will still come on. The switch material has melted in the area of the NO contact. The switch appears to be working when checked with an ohm meter, but does not work under power. The wiring diagram that came with this unit is: JKP78 DWG. No. 322A1000P8 Also I bypassed the switch with a large paper clip so I could cook dinner last night; this is a risky procedure and should not be a general practice. I just wanted to point out that under this condition the fan seems to run on a low speed when the door is open. Just thought I should pass this on. Thank you Gene for you help. I ordered the switch. Jerry
