Hi I am trying to fix a ladys dryer who can't aford a serviceman, The dryer will not heat. The igniter dosn't glow when you first turn on the dryer. I checked it with an ohm meter and got a reading of 109 which from what I have read is good. My question is, if the igniter checks good what do I check before the igniter.

Hi Derrick Most likely the problem with your dryer is a blown thermal fuse which is located under the rear panel. Check the thermal fuse for continuity and if it's open, replace it. Per the manufacturer instructions, if the thermal fuse is blown, the thermistor has to be replaced too. Also check the vent for any clogs and the air flow restrictions. The thermal fuse The thermistor - The part number for the thermal fuse AP3133489 - The part number for the thermistor AP3083396 Good luck. Gene.

Hi Derrick Next part you should check for continuity is the flame sensor. If it's open - replace it. - The part number for the flame sensor AP2910747 Gene.

Check the two pin connector that feeds voltage to the igniter/gas valve combo. If no voltage there, you have problems in some other component, maybe the timer or cycling thermostat.
