Having problem with timer turning machine on was wondering if anyone knows how to troubleshoot this.

Need more input data, if washer dead when you turn it on look for a bad breaker or a bad cord supplying 115 volts to washer.

started when machine wouldnt spin out all water I think that the push pull knob might have worn out. I do have a little knowledge Ive been an electrician for 20 years.Was wondering if maybe switch could wear out.
