Here is a tech sheet for this unit and a manual which should be a close match.

Yes it does have a separate drain pump.
I am assuming that it used to pump out OK and that nothing has been changed with the plumbing.

First I would undo the hose from the sink and check for a plug. Ofter stuff can collect where the hose fits over the fitting and cause a partial plug.
Also make sure your drain is clear.

Next check the filters.

Of coarse if it is not draining water out at all I would suspect the pump.
First I would check that it is getting power when it should and then if it has continuity. And then I would pull the pump amd check it physically.

I would supsect the pump on this one epecially if the pump is extremely hot to the touch. by design this style water pump runs a little on the warm side. over time the insulator on the copper windings becomes brittle and breaks down causing some shortages in the windings which in turns causes the pump to get hotter which in turn causes the pump to run weak barely able to push water upward.
the pump runs off 120V AC - if you want to test it and make certain its the pump simply:
1st - fill tub with water
2nd - press cancel to drain pan, if no drainage go to 3
3rdly - pull dishwasher out far enough to access pump on right side
4thly - unplug the two wires
5thly - power pump directly
6thly - if still no drainage, replace pump

Well well well.. found this forum while google searching my problem with my Kitchenaid dishwasher not draining the tub.

Started by checking our garbage disposal - hey maybe something was blocking the water outlet of the dishwasher port - who knows. Nope, squeaky clean. Took the hose off of the white plastic tube underneath the dishwasher and water poured out. Took the hose outside and blew it out with my air compressor. Nope, wasnt clogged.

Ah ha! The white tube that comes out of the dishwasher motor, that the discharge hose clamps onto is a check valve. It unscrews from the motor and you can take it out and clean it. Stuff gets stuck on the back side of the check valve, preventing it from opening so the pump can pump the water OUT. Turns out, I had a piece of plastic and a little piece of glass clogging mine so no water could exit the dishwasher!!!

Its draining like a champ now!! I couldnt be happier. I love free fixes.

Before you go multimetering motors and pumps and all that fun stuff, check the hose and check valve. :D Now back to your scheduled dishwashing! lol
