Tried something out here, I disconnected the drain hose from under the washer and the water drains right out, so it appears the check valve is ok? Though not sure that the flow is strong enough, perhaps partially blocked? Would I have much luck blowing air into the drain the opposite way perhaps, to clear it?
Thanks again for the responses

No, it would not help. Doing that you can make it even worse. If water drains out of the drain pump then the problem could be a bad drain pump or clogged hose.

The problem is fixed!
It turned out that the drain vent part that connects to the sink was clogged. A 8 dollar part at the hardware store. Saved alot of money not calling a repairman. Thanks!

We have never gotten our whirlpool quiet partner II to work...most buttons light up but that is about it...is it the control panel or the computer to blame?

I have the blinking clean light 7 times. I have reset it twice, but it keeps coming up. Seems like it is getting hot inside, and I have been starting with hot water as well. what do you think my next step is?
