Microwave is part of oven microwave combo. The oven works but the microwave has no power at all. How do I troubleshoot the microwave?

Iv, You're sure the oven works, including the oven elements ? you may have lost a L1 or L2 power leg, you may want to reset the breakers for the oven (several times). Your basic indications would indicate, An open "in line" fuse, located behind the microwave control panel, on the base of the M/W. An open Magnetron Thermal fuse, mounted to the Magnetron Tube, you may be able to reach and test it once the control panel is down, it'll be "tight" but doable. An open Cavity Thermal fuse, mounted on the back wall of the microwave, you'll have to remove the oven from the cabinet, remove the top, right side and back panels to access it. Let's hope it's the in line fuse. :) :) :)

I have reset the oven breaker several times with no result. The oven and its cooking elelments are fully functional. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get the control panel off? I removed the cover where the fan and light are but could not find a fuse. I then tried to figure out how to get the paenl off but I am stumped? Thanks for yor help Originally Posted by: Joe / APP Team Iv,

Try this, Open the M/W door and look in the door side of the control panel, there should be 2 screws holding the panel to the front flange of the microwave.Remove the screws and push up on the bottom of the panel, and pull out on the top of the panel. it should unlatch itself, and you'll be able to slowly, carefully move the assembly and access the fuse and control assembly.
