No, I was referring to the main control board on the back of the unit.

Okay.

I see it's the board behind the refrigerator.
Is it easy to reach and repair?

I've had to replace the Solenoid twice on this fridge. Could it be that?

To replace the control board just slide the unit out so you can get behind it. It's not a difficult replacement.

Which solenoid did you have replaced?

The one behind the dispenser.
The diagram shows it as #36 for $24.92.

It's possible but I don't think that has anything to do with your issue at the moment.

Thanks again Nat.

I post again after I get home to advise if the temperature went down to normal or any at all.

Thanks so much.

came home and freezer temp is 30 degrees and fridge is still 50 degrees both really too warm.

water still leaking from within the door of the freezer.

Not that it would matter but I replaced the filter because I had read that filter blockage in some types of water filtration fridges can cause the fridge to warm up.

Also, I failed to mention that the water dispenser will sometimes not operate if the fridge is too cold/freezes up or if it gets too cold outside. Never freezes up in the summer but does in the winter. It had frozen up maybe sometime in September for about 2 days and then I had lowered the numbers from 7 to 6 and then it started working again. Still, no leaking or warming up of freezer/fridge.

Anyway, after changing the filter, I ran the dispenser for about 2 gallons of water and now it operates as it should as soon as you press on the lever for water.

Why would the rear main board cause the warming problem?

model # GSS22KGMAWW
serial# AA223033

GE Refrigerator, Model# GSS22KGMAWW.
Side By Side
1) Water is leaking from within the freezer door onto the floor.
2) I am also starting to see frost in the back of the freezer
3) Both Fridge and Freezer have been warmer than they should be, 50 degrees and 30 degrees respectively.
4) over past couple of years, the water dispenser will intermittenly work or not work during cold weather, won't dispense water, we feel because maybe it froze up. Happened when we got the first very cold week in September but I turned down the fridge and then it just started dispensing again. Didn't start acting up until after I went shopping this past Saturday 10/25/2008.
Is it the timer, etc?
I haven't taken a look behind the inside of the freezer yet but plan to do that tomorrow evening after work.
